Recommended/mandatory clothing, equipment and materials: layered mountain clothing, waterproof and windproof jacket, hat and gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, personal medicines, mask and disinfectant gel, sticks (optional but recommended). Hot water or drink throughout the day, snacks & packed lunches
Reservation: reservations valid only via Whatsapp message or phone call to +39 347 7692753 (Raffaella). Putting “I will participate” is not the same as securing a place for the excursion.
In case of bad weather: the excursion may be canceled, interrupted or subject to changes in the event of unfavorable weather conditions or if the guide deems it necessary.
Other useful information: each participant will reach the starting point with their own car and following the foreseen COVID 19 rules. It will be mandatory to have a mask, which must be worn during rest periods and when requested by the guide. Please bring your disinfected gel, respect the distance and avoid the exchange of objects, drinks, food with other participants who are not part of your family.

Today’s excursion will take you to one of the iconic bivouacs of the Val d’Ayas, the Città di Mariano. The bivouac, generally not very popular, will welcome you in a totally rocky environment where it is quite normal to meet ibexes and the view is fabulous.
In relation to the weather and the physical conditions of the group the guide will decide whether to continue a stretch towards the glacial lake of Tzere. The return will take place via the same route or with a little-used detour, which will allow you to take a loop, lengthening the route by a few kilometers.
The ascent is simple for the first part and instead requires a little more attention and athleticism in the part of approaching the bivouac as there are a couple of passages on rock (not technical).
