Description of the itinerary: Starting from the centre of the village (piazza Chanoux), after a few hundred metres, you follow the trail leading to this magic forest. The hike along this loop itinerary will allow you to observe different types of trees (larches, spruces, Swiss pines, and Scotch pines) and wildlife. You then walk along the Sylvenoire hut and conclude the loop itinerary with a descent that, in about 20 minutes, will lead you back to Cogne.
The loop itinerary to the Sylvenoire forest is one of the most enchanting and magic itineraries in the whole Cogne valley. This guided hike is suitable for families and allows, during the autumn season, to admire the seductive and warm colours of larches and birches: yellow, orange, red and brown. Thanks to these shades of colours the atmosphere of the place is really magic and unique. Squirrels and deer seem to have a lot of fun living in this colourful environment. How not to mention the superb view of the Mont Blanc and the mines in Cogne? Many good reasons to join us and get involved in this wonderful experience.

Difficulty: T1 easy excursion
Recommended equipment: hiking boots, warm layered clothing, cap, gloves and sunglasses.
