Aosta - G.St. Bernard - Vintage car race

Piazza Chanoux dalle 9.00 alle 12.30: Verifiche tecniche
dopo le verifiche sportive e l’esposizione delle vetture, inizierà alle 13,00 la prima giornata di gara. I concorrenti raggiungeranno Gressan, Jovençan, Aymavilles, Villeneuve, Introd, Arvier, Avise sino ai 1200 metri di Saint-Nicolas per poi raggiungere a fondo valle il caratteristico castello di Saint-Pierre e nuovamente Avise per il riordino e la sosta ristoro.
Ripercorreranno a ritroso il percorso Arvier, Introd, Villeneuve, Saint-Pierre, Saint-Nicolas, Avise, Saint-Pierre per poi dirigersi verso La Salle e Morgex. Qui affronteranno la salita che li porterà ai 2473 metri del Colle San Carlo per poi terminare la giornata di gara a La Thuile.
Domenica 19 giugno
la partenza verrà data a La Thuile alle ore 8,30 per il trasferimento ad Aosta in piazza Chanoux per un riordino delle vetture e la loro esposizione al pubblico. Alle ore 11,00 riprenderà la gara con le prove finali che condurranno i concorrenti, lungo il tradizionale percorso che transiterà nei borghi storici di Etroubles e Saint-Rhemy en Bosses, all’arrivo ai 2347 metri del Colle del Gran San Bernardo.

The race reserved for historic cars returns and this year celebrates its 102 years, having been played for the first time in the 1920. Nineteen editions were held as an uphill speed race along the classic 33,910 kilometers which took the runners from 590 meters of Aosta to 2470 meters of the Colle del Gran San Bernardo , the last one held in 1957. Then, starting in 2002, the competition resumed as a regularity race for historic cars and arriving , in 2022, at its 36th edition
Due to its characteristics, the event represents one of the most important events in the panorama of Italian historic motors
