The Matterhorn and its moraines - The Duca degli Abruzzi Refuge

This excursion includes the climb to the Duca degli Abruzzi Refuge, which is the starting point for the ascent to the Matterhorn. To start the ascent, you have to follow the Jean Antoine Carrel path, which allows the observation and study of moraine environments.

The return takes place by descending the Matterhorn moraine and reaching the pastures of Plan Maison.

A wonderful hike, which requires a good level of physical fitness  (height difference + 900 m.)
