Autumn colours

La Magdeleine area is a fantastic, harmonious and wild territory in all seasons, but especially in autumn it takes on a special magic that captivates even the most distracted hikers. So why not let ourselves be swept away by this wonderful atmosphere?

Let's set off on this extraordinary journey and, with the help of a compass and hiking map, we will learn how to find our bearings and recognise the peaks around us. We look forward to seeing you there!

Starting from La Magdeleine, we will follow a charming path that will lead us to Col Pilaz with a fantastic view of the Matterhorn. From there, we will enter a dense larch forest that will magically take us to admire Lake Charey, on its harmonious shores, at the foot of Mount Tanaté. This lake will be the destination of our nature excursion and will also be the turning point. A farm road will take us downhill again to Col Pilaz and from here a new path will lead us back to La Madgleine.

Estimated hiking time to complete the excursion: 3 and a half hours to complete the whole itinerary

Height difference:  450 metres approx.

Difficulty: T2 (excursion for experienced hikers)

Number of participants: minimum 6, maximum 15 persons

Recommended clothing and equipment: hiking boots, layered clothing, wind-proof jacket, mountain backpack, water, sunglasses and gloves.

In case of bad weather: due to weather, technical and organisational reasons, the itinerary may be subject to change. In the event of severe weather conditions, the event will be postponed to a later date to be determined.
