La Salle is the municipality in the Aosta Valley with the largest number of bread ovens: between 1991 and 1993, 48 were registered, a unique heritage that testifies to the importance of rye bread in the daily lives of mountain families. The ovens were places of meeting and sharing, the beating heart of the villages during the winter months.
