Starting from Perrères you go up along path n. 107 (Great Matterhorn Balcony).
Once you arrive at Finestra di Cignana, from which you have a magnificent view of the Matterhorn, you descend towards the lake to reach the Barmasse refuge, crossing the dam.

The return to Valtournenche will follow the route of the Alta Via n. 1 up to Crepin.
