Lake Gabiet (2371 m) is located in a striking basin, surrounded by numerous peaks, with a wide view overlooking Mount Rosa: you can admire Breithorn, Castore and Polluce and Lyskamm.

Lake Gabiet can be reached in several ways, by using the cable lifts or by various walking trails from the various hamlets of Gressoney-La-Trinité.

by cable lifts:
. Staffal-Gabiet cable lift (2134 m) - the lake is located about 15 minutes from the point of arrival of the lift (a comfortable and easy walk).
. Punta Jolanda chair lift - departure from Upper Edelboden - arrives at Punta Jolanda (2100 m) - follow trail n. 5 or 5B to reach the lake in about 60 minutes.

by foot:
Trail n. 4 (near the Walserschield pizzeria, formerly Grizzetti hotel)
Trail n. 5 (near Hotel Residence and the Punta Jolanda chair lift)
Trail n. 6 from Orsia
Trail n. 7A from Ciaval
If you choose these latter two trails, you must travel along several dirt track sections: they are the winter ski tracks.
