Nordic skiing is available at a resort extending over 3 municipalities, near the Swiss border
Untroubled, a characteristic mediaeval town situated at an altitude of 1270 metres, is the starting point of an18 km, cross-country slope that climbs the valley, passing through Saint-Oyen touchingvarious charming villages, before reaching,at an altitude of 1521 metres, Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, the last municipality of the Gran San Bernardo Valley before the Swiss border. The other slopeshave circuits of varying difficulty that cross forest
areas, offering the skier seductive track s. Troubles has a 1 km night circuit. The ski season is guaranteed from December through to spring, partly due to the modern artificial snow system, on a par with the structures present in the major ski resorts. At Saint-Oyen, in the hamlet of Flassin, the “Foyer de fond” has changing rooms and a ski waxing room, depot and
hire room. The resort can be easily reached, not only from Switzerland,, but also from the Gran San Bernardo Tunnel, by following state road 27, directly linked to the Aosta Est toll booth, by a fast-flowing traffic tunnel that removes the need to pass through the city.
