Artistic ceramics exhibition
Chamois, the "Pearl of the Alps", plays host to an exhibition of works created by pottery enthusiasts, seven ceramicists from the Baricentro Association.
They met while attending pottery courses in Turin at the Aquarius Association, and nine years ago they set up a workshop of their own, which they have equipped over time with wheels, kilns and other machinery.
They mainly work with stoneware, creating objects by manipulating clay through various techniques, up to decoration with glazes that are often self-made from raw materials.
The exhibition will feature pieces created by all of them; partly everyday items interpreted and decorated according to each maker's individual style (mugs, cups, plates, vases, etc.), and partly more artistic objects with a purely decorative purpose, such as small sculptures.
Opening event with refreshments: Sunday 4th August at 5:00 pm.
