Musical Metamorphosis
Contact
From Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in F major, transcribed by Johann Sebastian Bach, to adaptations for organ of immortal pages of melodramatic literature, to “variations on a theme,” a form widely used in the keyboard repertoire and beyond. The concert will be developed around the theme of “musical metamorphosis,” that is, how a given material can transform and give rise to ever new forms, ideas, sound architectures while keeping its original essence intact, which is developed and explored in depth through all possible points of view.
As Marcel Proust wrote, “the true voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new places, but in having new eyes.”
