Nella Selva

La Selva Morale e Spirituale is a voluminous collection of sacred pieces composed by Claudio Monteverdi in 1640 : a veritable forest of pieces combining the compositional styles of the time.

The four-voice mass is the main theme of the program proposed by the Opificium Vocale choir, which accompanies the listener through an itinerary marked by important pages from the Renaissance, Baroque and contemporary periods. An alternation of gentle slopes and impervious stretches, moments of joy and reflective moments, like a short journey through an imaginary forest.
