The hunting huts of Orvieille

Discover the Aosta Valley at a leisurely pace, amid history, nature, peace, solitude, forests, and snow-capped peaks.

Full-day hike along an iconic royal hunting trail used by King Victor Emmanuel II; a beautiful climb through a coniferous forest to reach the hunting lodges, now used as observation posts by the Valsavarenche park rangers. A beautiful itinerary in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, offering views of the Gran Paradiso mountain range as if from a balcony overlooking the world.

• Hiking time : 5,30 hours round trip
• Height difference: 554 metres
• Difficulty: E (for hikers)
• Number of participants: minimum 5, maximum 10 persons.
• Necessary clothing and equipment: warm, layered clothing, GORETEX hiking boots, après-ski shoes sorel type (no moon boot). Rucksack with packed lunch, gloves, caps, sunglasses.

Packed lunch: Each participant is responsible for bringing their own lunch
