Single day snowshoe tour: Sanctuary of Calvalité

Beautiful excursion of medium difficulty, in a preserved and wild environment above Cheneil.

Once arrived at the small village of Cheneil, the climb continues first through the larch forest then along the slope which is located under the ridge where the Clavalité sanctuary stands.

The view is splendid: you can admire the Valtournenche, the Cervino and various peaks of the Aosta Valley.

After the picnic next to the sanctuary, the return will take the same route.

Height difference: about 500 m. 
Difficulty: E (hiking)
Level of difficulty: intermediate (good fitness, previous snowshoeing experience)
Excursion duration: 5-6 hours
Recommended clothing, equipment and materials: Trekking boots or winter boots, windstopper jacket, snow pants, gloves, beanie, a backpack, sunglasses, sun cream, some water + snacks,  the picnic lunch. (TRANSCEIVER, PROBE AND SHOVEL won’t be provided but you must have them)
Minimum number of participants: 4 (from 12 years old)
