Arrancabirra - race in the mountains
Resorts: Courmayeur
Start: Viale Monte Bianco at 10 am
Finish: Bollino park - from around 12pm to 6 pm
Awards: Bollino Park - at approximately 6 pm
Route: in case of good weather, classic run (18 km), in case of bad weather, reduced route (13 km) to La Suche and Tirecorne.
Free lunch for all runners, €20 for companions and spectators.
Until 6 pm Live revival music and DJ set.
The Arrancabirra and Hurzeler-Grivel Trophy is a seriously fun race in the mountains, 18.3 km long, climb of 1410 metres.
Along the route there are 4 or 6 points for refreshment (depending to the circuit, defined according to the weather) where runners can drink a can of beer which will be marked on their bib.
Entrants can also run with their dogs (leash compulsory), allowing them to take their place in a third ranking (runner with dog…. or indeed dog with runner…)
Each year the race also attracts runners dressed up, and there’s now also a prize for the most entertaining costume.
Upon arrival there will be a party with live music open to everyone with lunch.
The race is open to anyone over 18.
