After the success of the first editions in La Rosière and Courchevel, the MDS (Marathon des Sables) is reaching new heights and returns to the Alps with its original spirit for a sporty and festive challenge: the MDS Crazy Loops.
From June 19 to 21, 2026 in Courmayeur, come experience three days of human adventure, driven by effort, encounters, and celebration, in the heart of a magnificent Alpine setting.
The challenge
Get ready for an extraordinary adventure: 24 hours of running, day and night, to complete as many loops as possible. A 3-5 km circular route to be repeated freely.
Everyone moves at their own pace, carried by the collective energy and the magic of the mountains. One loop, ten, twenty… anything is possible. You take part however you want, solo or as a team, at your own pace, running or walking.
3 to 5 Handi teams will share the course with you: you’ll cross paths with their effort, their smiles, and sometimes, you’ll even help them climb a hill.
Everyone is a Helping Runner. On a steeper section, a technical descent, or simply for the joy of sharing.
