La Desarpa de Mordzëi: cattle parade

Cattle parade that returns to the valley in the central street of the village, a traditional event deeply felt by the local population.
After a long summer spent in the high mountain pastures, at the foot of the highest peaks in Europe, the cows return to their stables at the bottom of the valley. The transhumance of cattle represents an important moment in the life of the breeder, as well as a day of celebration to be shared with the entire population and tourists.
Schedule
From 9am to 7pm Market in the Church Square with products from Desarpa members
10am How is Fontina cheese made? Small demonstration workshop
12:30pm Arrival of the herds at the Sports Field and Desarpa lunch for everyone! (€20)
3:50pm Cattle parade back down the valley through the town's main street
Afterwards, "mountain pasture snack" for everyone at the Pro Loco Chalet in the square.
From 10am to 10pm, you can try out the mechanical bull in the Piazza della Posta.
The Courmayeur-La Salle marching band and the Lé Beuffon folk group will enliven the Desarpa afternoon.
A pendant for Didier
Throughout the day, a pendant made by children from the Morgex Secondary School will be on sale at the Pro Loco Chalet. All proceeds will be donated to support Didier's recovery. For the same reason, Luca and Muriel Alleyson's wooden sculpture will be auctioned off at the end of the fashion show. Be generous and participate!
Finally, from October 2nd to 5th, drawings by students from the Morgex Middle School will be on display under the porticoes of the Town Hall. Vote for your favorite drawing by picking up a ballot at the Veticoz Ada tobacconist. The awards ceremony will take place at the school the following week.
