Between history and legend - San Grato Lake

A wonderful hike in the wild Valgrisenche valley, during which you can see marmots, eagles and chamois along the way, while you are  crossing  green alpine pastures. Your final destination is the San Grato lake, nestled between rocks, near the border with France.  This area marked the history of the Aosta Valley from the 18th century until World War II.   This particular itinerary follows the long journey of San Grato’s relics.

Hiking time: 2 and half hours  - (there and back)
Height difference:  520 metres (for hikers)
Number of participants :minimum 5 maximum 8 peole 
Recommended clothing and equipment : comfortable clothing for a mountain hike, hiking boots. Mountain backpack with a packed lunch, soft drinks,  rainproof /windproof jacket, sunglasses.
