Full day hike along the irrigation channel Ru Marseiller talking about the medieval lordship of Cly, representing the gateway of the Matterhorn Valley.
- On the way back, a visit to the Marseiller chapel will offer you the opportunity to discover the frescoes painted by the medieval painter Giacomino da Ivrea
The itinerary starts from the parking in the Marseiller village, then continues along a dirt road till it reaches the irrigation channel taking water from the Matterhorn valley to the pastures in Saint-Denis and Verrayes.
You will have the opportunity to admire the ancient medieval manor in Cly, and you will discover to which punishments and tortures witches were subjected during the Middle Ages. At the end of the hike you will return to your car with the memory of the scents of thyme and absinthe, and the savours of the packed lunch just finished along the irrigation channel (Ru).
