Ore 8.15 Partenza da Aosta, Foro Boario (davanti all’ingresso dell’Isola ecologica comunale di via Caduti del Lavoro, area mercato dei fiori)
Ore 9.15  Verrayes, piazza antistante la chiesa parrocchiale, partenza per le visite alla chiesa, al plastico della Valle d’Aosta e all’Arboretum realizzati dall’Abbé Louis Vescoz
Ore 13.00 Rientro dall’Arboretum e trasferimento in auto all’Area picnic di Champlong con possibilità di pranzare al sacco o di prenotarsi presso la Trattoria la Tana degli Orsi
Ore 14.30 Stagno di Loson, visita guidata al sito

Ore 16.00 Conclusione dell'escursione

INFORMAZIONI GENERALI
• Gli spostamenti sono previsti con mezzi propri;

• Per il pranzo presso la Trattoria La Tana degli Orsi, a Champlong, prenotarsi entro le ore 14.00 dell’8 agosto al 0166 46506 (il prezzo fissato è di € 20 a persona per il seguente menu: Ricotta Champlong con menta e limone, Giardiniera della casa, Brasato con polenta o patate, Dolce della casa, acqua e caffè);
• L’escursione prevede un breve percorso in salita ad anello di circa 200 metri di dislivello positivo su sentiero all’interno dell’Arboretum; è possibile ridurre l’impegno accorciando l’anello con un percorso alternativo.

In occasione del centenario della morte dell'Abbé

In occasione del centenario della morte dell’Abbé Pierre-Louis Vescoz, le due storiche “sociétés savantes” valdostane organizzano un’escursione congiunta, paese d’origine e d’elezione dell’abate, socio attivo di entrambe.
Geografo, cartografo, naturalista, agiografo, appassionato di archeologia e storia locale, dal 1905 fu anche curatore del nascente Musée de la Flore Valdôtaine, primo nucleo dell’attuale Museo di Scienze Naturali di Saint-Pierre.
Per ricordare la sua opera, la Société de la Flore Valdôtaine e l’Académie Saint-Anselme propongono una giornata alla scoperta dei luoghi e delle opere da lui realizzate a Verrayes: la chiesa parrocchiale, il plastico della regione e lo storico Arboretum  link, recentemente recuperato.
