How to get there

Aosta Est highway exit. Take the tunnel for G. S. Bernardo. After a couple of kilometers, turn right at Gignod for Valpelline. Follow SR28 to Bionaz: just after the town you’ll find a road on your left that leads to Chez les Chenaux.

Interesting excursion in the middle Valpelline. It offers exciting and enchanting views of Becca di Luseney when you reach the Berrier mountain pasture.

Description of the route

From Chez les Chenaux, continue West along the snow-covered road. Walk along the side following a couple of watersheds to reach Grand Rond in about 45 minutes. Leave the slope and continue on your right, entering the woods to climb the short peak to another slope: finding your way may be difficult in this segment since there are no markers. Continue north until you reach the slope coming from Ruz near the Moulin stream. Turn right and, following the slope, you’ll be led to the knoll before your destination. Exit the woods where you see the pasture: continue straight towards Alpe Berrier, taking in the exciting views of the nearby Becca di Luseney.

We only recommend you take this route in excellent weather conditions.
