Events: Pila

The Aosta Valley will host the 39th edition of the Italian Fire Brigade Ski Championship, which is expected to attract more than a thousand athletes from all regions and the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano: 776 registered for the slalom, 239 for the ski mountaineering competitions, 111 for cross-country skiing and 133 competing in snowboarding.

From early afternoon Pila turns into a ski village with music and animation to create an atmosphere of fun and solidarity waiting for the torchlight procession.

Created in aid of the Association Susan G. Komen Italia, I Light Pila is the biggest torchlight procession on the snow in the Aosta Valley.

With skis, snowboard, on foot or with ski shoes, everybody can participate. With a pink led torch, both adults and children can run down the slope to contribute to the fight against breast cancer, supported by the no profit Association Komen Italia.

Carnival party with entertainment for children, masked torchlight procession open to everyone.
