HOW TO GET THERE

It can be reached in 25 minutes’ driving from Antey-Saint-André or in 15 minutes from the centre of Verrayes.

AREA PANORAMA
Looking North of the equipped area you can see Longhède Summit and Becca d’Aver, towards the East Mount Zerbion and to the South East Mount Nery; while to the South, located on the slope of the Dora Baltea opposite the area, you can see Mount Barbeston and Mount Avic.

EXCURSIONS

• Taking the path near the area going to Becca d’Aver you can continue onwards to the Longhède Summit.
• Taking the winter, cross-country skiing piste you arrive to the picnic area in the Chantorné di Torgnon district.
• A path for disabled people winds for about 1 km both inside the wooded area and around the recently redeveloped small lake: it is accessible from the parkings of the area and it is specifically designed to be accessible to disabled people with wheelchairs. Near the bar / restaurant there is a playground specifically equipped with a swing and a walker for wheelchairs.

The restaurant is located along the national road, 7 km from the Châtillon/Saint-Vincent motorway exit; there are the entrance, in the bar, and two dining rooms … all in Aosta Valley style, with particular attention to the furnishings.

The kitchen offers traditional dishes from Aosta Valley as well as Piedmontese dishes.

Very appreciated the mixed fried from Piemont.

In the Champlong picnic area is an attractive little chalet that houses this bar and restaurant. Wood is the key word here: the area is surrounded by spectacular Norway spruce and larch trees, and the wooden furnishings are enhanced with a range of little details that bring their beauty out to the full.

The restaurant has two dining rooms, a well kept kitchen with typical and national dishes, fixed menu for minimum 3 day stays, or ‘‘à la carte’‘ with a vast choice of wines.

Pizzeria with wood oven and over 30 types of pizzas (also wholemeal and gluten-free)

Old mountain inn, characterized by a warm welcome, home-made cooking, to a special attention to the rediscovery of ancient recipes from Aosta Valley tradition, with original dishes prepared with typical Aosta Valley ingredients, offering an "unusual Aosta Valley" experience.

The menus change according to the seasonality of the raw materials, chosen as much as possible at km 0.

During some week-ends off-menu dishes or special menu are proposed.

Upon reservation: polenta with fontina cheese, raclette with three cheeses and fondue bourguignonne.

HOW TO GET THERE
You can arrive by taking the public road which from the main town goes upwards to Chatelard village, up to the locality Chantorné.

VIEW FROM THE AREA
Towards the East you can see Mount Tantané and Mount Zerbion, while, in the opposite direction, you can find Mount Méabé, Col Fenêtre and Becca d’Aver are located in the opposite direction.

EXCURSIONS
• By taking the path climbing from Torgnon to Becca d’Aver you can reach Cima Longhède, Col Fenêtre and then Saint-Barthélemy Valley, Praz Valley or go up to Mount Méabé.
It is also possible to take an easy walk up to the Col des Bornes, which is also accessible with strollers and bicycles.
The excursion towards the Cignana dam of about 30 km round trip, on foot or comfortably by bicycle along a wide and panoramic dirt road, is also very suggestive.

The Alpe Gorza restaurant, typical mountain place where stone and ancient wood make it unique, is located in the middle of the Chantorné woods and is reflected in the small Gordzà lake, where it is also possible to fish.
The restaurant can be reached by car or on foot during the summer season and in winter on skis, on snowshoes or in the evening you can reach it by snowmobile to have a dinner with friends.
The cuisine is made up of simple dishes that reflect the Valle d’Aosta tradition accompanied by the best wines of the region.

The elegant atmosphere and the mountain contest of the Hotel Caprice des Neiges are perfect for a lunch or a dinner with your family or friends, or for ceremonies and open air buffets (only upon reservation)

During meals, always taking care of the needs of their guests, the owners will make suggestions and propose combinations with typical wines and daily zero km products.

A spacious environment, recently renovated, the chef offers genuine and refined dishes, taken from the local culinary tradition or inspired by the best Mediterranean and transalpine cuisine, renewed in a modern key with attention to flavors of the past.

In the splendid basin of Chantorné, the restaurant Des Troncs, a typical stone and wood place, can be reached by car during the summer season and in the winter months on skis, snowshoes or for evening dinners by snowmobile.
The home cooking offers simple but tasty dishes, to taste the gnocchi del “dau”, made with polenta, seasoned with radicchio and a fusion of cheeses.

The typical Jour et Nuit restaurant is located along the regional road that goes up to Torgnon in the hamlet of Verney, and it is run by Katia and the chef who takes care of the Valle d’Aosta cuisine by revisiting it, “pinsa”, homemade pasta, meat from Valle d’Aosta (Arev) and zero km cheeses enrich the menu.

Nestled in the woods of Chantorné, La Montanara is a self‑service restaurant with an authentic atmosphere, where wood and stone embody the warmth of alpine tradition. In winter it is easy to reach on skis or by gondola lift, and for those looking for a special experience, snowmobile evenings can be organised for groups.
During the other seasons, it is comfortably accessible by car, surrounded by greenery and the peace of the summer mountains.

The traditional kitchen serves the typical flavours of the Aosta Valley, which you can enjoy on the panoramic terrace overlooking the valley or in the cosy indoor dining rooms.

The Les Montagnards restaurant was created from the renovation of an old mountain pasture in the beautiful Chantorné basin, maintaining its ancient characteristics.
The typical mountain and family-like atmosphere offers dishes from the Valle d’Aosta culinary tradition which can also be enjoyed on the terrace or in the garden while admiring the surrounding landscape.
In winter the restaurant can be reached on skis, on foot or in the evening by snowmobile, and at other times, comfortably by car.

In the woods of Prô-Riond (Plan Prorion), a wooden chalet that houses the Lo Vierdzà restaurant, a meeting place surrounded by nature. Conveniently reachable by car, both in summer and in winter, it is a place of absolute authenticity where the warm and attentive hospitality accompanies the rediscovery of the ancient flavors of the Aosta Valley cuisine in a combination of tranquility, nature and sport.

The restaurant is located at the start of the cross-country ski trails and at a link with the descent slopes, a perfect starting point and meeting point for ski enthusiasts.

The Restaurant of Hotel Maisonnette, situated in Chatrian, a hamlet located in the upper part of the village of Torgnon, is known for the quality and refinement of its dishes in a unique atmosphere; from its windows you can admire the view of Torgnon and the valley.
The completely-renovated restaurant with larch wood paneling and traditional stonework is managed directly by the owner, and chef Maurizio offers dishes of Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont as well as international cuisine combined with the best Valle d’Aosta and national wines.

Bar Pub Baita Cian is located not far from Piazza Frutaz in the center of the village of Torgnon; it is a place traditionally furnished in Alpine style, cozy and new, suitable for all ages: children, parents, grandparents and young people, from breakfast to pizza and sandwiches to end up with evenings of celebration and music accompanied by excellent beer.

The Covalou restaurant is located along the regional road that goes up to Breuil-Cervinia, in a picturesque village that has retained its small mountain village characteistics.
The restaurant offers excellent quality traditional mountain cuisine in a simple and refined setting.

Outside there is a small playground for children.

Just past the center of Antey-Saint-André, along the regional road to Breuil, in the small hamlet of Poutaz, you will find the "Des Roses" hotel. The welcoming atmosphere of the house is essentially based on the quality of the cuisine. The restaurant offers Italian dishes, alternating with traditional Aosta Valley cuisine, which can be enjoyed in the warm ambiance of the fireplace.

The Grange family cultivates a small mountain garden to provide fresh seasonal vegetables.

In the town of Antey-Saint-André, where in Cervino introduces itself for the first time, the Filey hotel is located, with its welcoming and elegant restaurant, offering specialties from the Valle d’Aosta.

The cuisine, managed directly by the owner Mrs. Irma, who with special care and passion will introduce you to the flavors of the most renowned regional culinary customs.

Throughout the winter, the restaurant is open only for dinner on hotel opening days (holidays and weekends).
