  • 8.45pm - Opening of the literary festival. Institutional greetings from the municipal administration and library, illustration of the program
  • 9.00 pm - Ezia Bovo presents: “Ibleto by Challant the Captain” author Piero Venesia. Preview of the publication, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary, of the volume on the great figure of Ibleto, a work sold out for years and considered of absolute historical value.

Saturday 22nd June 2024

  • 3.30 pm: Chantal Vuillermoz presents "The healing mountain. Guido Gozzano in the Aosta Valley";
  • 4.00 pm: Ornella Cerutti "Georges Simenon and the case of the man with the pipe". Homage on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the writer's death;
  • 5.00 pm: conference, Pier Franco Quaglieni presents "Delitto Matteotti" 1924-2024;
  • 6.00 pm: presentation of the book "The life of bees" by Nobel Prize winner Maurice Maeterlinck;
  • Followed by a tasting of "Lardo, honey and Piata" organized by the municipal library;
  • 9.00 pm: Oreste Valente brings the theater show "Homage to Italo Calvino" to the stage

  • 4.00 pm: Luciana Banchelli presents "Once upon a time there was. Ivrea and Canavese";
  • 4.30 pm: Laura Pellissier presents "Beyond. Journey into a  spent life":
  • 5.30 pm: Dario Omenetto presents "Celts of Truc Salassi in 100 BC."
  • 6.00 pm: Andreja Restek, war photojournalist, presents "The solitude of truth. Traveling through the shadows of wars"
  • 6.30 pm: "La Piata" conference with Alice Borettaz and the agrotechnician Diego Bovard on the theme: “La Piata, the typical product with the De.C.O. brand of Issogne, told in its making;
  • Followed by tasting of the sweet and savory Piata organised by the municipal library;

Side events – On La Place Square

Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June, from 10.30am to 6.00pm:

  • Fourth edition - “If you buy a book, you give us a book” the library's initiative involves offering discarded books, destined for waste, but in good condition, no longer suitable for public service. Those interested can choose the desired book by paying a voluntary contribution. The funds raised will be used to purchase new books.
  • Second edition of the "Used Book Market" - exhibition and sale of used and antique books.

The fourth edition of the "Chateau Livres" literary festival returns to Issogne in the Pomegranate Hall and on the churchyard in the main square of Issogne. The event which has obtained the patronage of the Municipality of Issogne and the Municipal Library, is proposed by the Ass. Luci and Edizioni Pedrini.

The Library's initiative returns to its second edition: “If you buy a book, you give us a book”, which last year achieved widespread public success.

The second edition of the "Used book market", which has also been reconfirmed with regularly licensed exhibitors in the main square of the Municipality, adjacent to the presentation hall, on Saturday and Sunday.

Among the novelties of this edition is the writing workshop "Writing - Discovering - Creating" held by Prof. Isabella Rosa Pivot, teacher of philological-literary education and writer scheduled for Saturday 22 June (info: www.edizionipedrini.com - mobile: (+39) 393.9988875 ).
