In the rich programme of events in the city of Aosta, a major retrospective with more than 150 original prints to rediscover the nocturnal magic of the Ville Lumière in the works of Brassaï.

The retrospective, curated by Philippe Ribeyrolles, a scholar and grandson of the photographer, presents more than 150 vintage prints, as well as sculptures, documents and objects that belonged to Brassaï, for an in-depth and unprecedented look at his work, with particular attention to the famous images dedicated to the French capital. His photographs dedicated to the Ville Lumière - from the working-class neighbourhoods to the great iconic monuments, from fashion to portraits of artist friends, graffiti and nightlife - are now iconic images that immediately identify the face of Paris in the collective imagination.

The exhibition is accompanied by a bilingual Italian-French catalogue published by Silvana Editoriale, with texts by Philippe Ribeyrolles, Daria Jorioz, Silvia Paoli and Annick Lionel-Marie, on sale at € 36.00.
