Opening time and fees Programme

The ibex is the undisputed king of the Alps. A wild beautiful animal which has become a real symbol of high altitudes, impervious and unattainable rocks. The ibex is also the symbol of the Gran Paradiso National Park, one of the most ancient protected areas and Nature Park in Italy. He has a mighty body and huge curved horns. When you will meet him, nothing will be like before, and you will live an extraordinary experience. Seeing him jumping from to rock to rock like a dancer will make you hold your breath, but soon after a moment you will find him on another rock in a perfect balance wondering the reasons for your fears.

Nature seems to have made him a joke: with his mighty heavy body, and with his giant curved horns he looks like a clumsy animal in his movements, but it is not so.  One more interesting story to tell. A story that starts from the hunter first, and ends then to the scientific researcher. We will tell you this story to show you how our king the Alps: the ibex, is living today. We will tiptoe into the ibex’s life and do it in the splendid frame and landscapes of our mountains.
