''La Pass Pitchü'' - Opening of the Little St. Bernard Pass fair
In local dialect “Pass’ Pitchü” means “passage to the “Hills of Little St. Bernard”. When the snow falls and the Hills of Little St. Bernard open to traffic, the exchanges start again between the French valley of Tarentaise and Valle d’Aosta Naturally, Pass’ Pitchü is the first, popular French-Valdostane festival of the season. The towns of Séez Saint-Bernard and La Thuile, two towns with very strong craft traditions, take turns to organise this festival that unites a considerable number of crafts people from the two valleys who present their products (sculpture in wood, cast iron, china, paintings and regional products such as cheese, bread, wine, etc.).
Traditional festival on the opening of the Hills of Little St. Bernard (alternating between Italy and France). In 2019 the Pass’ Pitchü fair will take place in Séez (France).
