The Francesco Gonella Mountain Hut (3,071 m) is a modern alpine hut situated in Val Veny, in the Courmayeur area, on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif. Opened in 2011, the hut stands out for its futuristic architecture, combining wood and metal, which blends seamlessly into the high-altitude environment.

Situated near the Dôme Glacier, it serves as a vital base for the standard Italian route to Mont Blanc. This route, less frequented than the French route, retains a wilder and more isolated character, requiring greater mountaineering experience and skill.

Due to its location and purpose, the refuge, which is open only during the summer season, serves as a true high-mountain outpost and a prime starting point for those wishing to tackle an ascent of Mont Blanc away from the more well-trodden routes.
