Description of the route
A route that begins among the vineyards and history of the lower Aosta Valley and leads to the quiet of the mountains, in Coumarial, near the stunning Mont Mars Nature Reserve. From Issogne, known for its elegant castle, you ride toward Donnas, along dry stone walls and terraced vineyards, skimming stretches of the ancient Roman road.
The route continues toward Perloz, a charming mountain village perched on the valley slopes, and then gradually climbs toward Lillianes, reaching the town center of Fontainemore. Arriving in Coumarial, at nearly 1,450 meters above sea level, the atmosphere shifts: the mountain welcomes you with forests, pastures, and fresh air — the perfect destination for those seeking peace and a rejuvenating break. A two-wheeled journey that blends culture, nature, and the satisfaction of a mountain climb.
