Description of the route
From the square in Saint-Jacques, in the municipality of Ayas, continue towards Blanchard and Armaz. Cross the bridge over the Veraz and take trail 6 towards Fièry. From here, you go to the left of the hamlet along the same trail and walk all the way along the valley of the Cime Bianche as far the Col with the same name. Along the route you can enjoy the view of some mountain peaks such as the Gran Tournalin, Monte Roisetta and the Rocca di Veraz. Before the last part of the climb up pass you can see see the Gran Lago at a height of 2805 m a.s.l. above which you can see the Ventina glacier. From the pass there are splendid views of the last part of the Valtournenche, the Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa chain.
