Description of the route

From the square in Saint-Jacques, in the municipality of Ayas, continue towards Blanchard and Armaz. Cross the bridge over the Verraz stream and take trail 6 towards Fiéry. From here, continue to the left along the same trail and walk all the way along the valley of the Cime Bianche as far the Col with the same name. Along the route you can enjoy the view of some mountain peaks such as the Grand Tournalin, Monte Roisetta and the Rocca di Verraz. Before the last part of the climb up to the pass you can see see the Gran Lago at an altidude of 2805m with the Ventina glacier. From the pass there are splendid views of the last part of the Valtournenche, the Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa chain.
