Lo sport per tutte le abilità

Sport in the Aosta Valley is becoming increasingly inclusive

Thanks to the “Ski for All Abilities” (Abilmente) project, the Aosta Valley is opening its slopes to everyone, making five ski resorts accessible also to people with motor, sensory or intellectual disabilities: Courmayeur, Breuil-Cervinia, Gressoney-Saint-Jean, Pila and Saint-Barthélemy.

To ensure appropriate hospitality, dedicated training courses have been organized for tourism operators, ski instructors, slope staff and alpine guides. But inclusion does not stop with skiing: the project has expanded to offer outdoor experiences all year round, such as hiking and climbing, with the support of mountain guides.

In 2024, in each of the five participating locations, several tourism operators made themselves available to verify the actual accessibility of their facilities.
