- The mountain guides of the Aosta Valley boast a tradition that stretches back a long way; many of them have written chapters in the history of mountaineering at its best, and continue to guarantee both thrills and safety to those who practise a wide range of mountain sports.
- The mountain guide fest takes place in summer, on 15th August. During this day, alpine guides in the Aosta Valley organise events with spectacular displays of mountain-climbing ability and rock-climbing techniques.
