Running the Monterosa Walserwaeg by UTMB means immersing yourself in the authentic heart of the Aosta Valley, surrounded by stunning scenery, timeless Walser villages, and the dramatic presence of the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa.

The event turns Eastern Aosta Valley into a natural stage where runners, visitors and supporters share an adventure inspired by the early alpinists. Each race becomes a chance to enjoy festive villages, alpine traditions and a welcoming local community.
Its vibrant core lies in Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-Trinité, celebrated for their Walser heritage.
It is also an invitation to discover an authentic region: wooden houses, local products, accessible viewpoints and the lively Ultra-Trail Village.
A sporting, cultural and touristic experience for everyone.
