On the road from Courmayeur to Dolonne, overlooking the eastern bank of the Dora Baltea river and framed by the characteristic stone arch bridge, stands the Hotel Tavernier. Its location is particularly privileged: just 300 metres from Piazzale Monte Bianco and right in front of the modern 8-seater Dolonne–Plan Chécrouit cable car, which provides easy access to the ski area.

Built in the 19th century, the hotel retains the authentic charm of ancient Alpine dwellings, combining a warm and welcoming atmosphere with modern comforts. Staying at the Hotel Tavernier means feeling welcome as if you were staying with friends: its fourteen carefully appointed rooms feature solid wood furniture, bright spaces and typical mountain décor. Many offer splendid views of the valley or the Mont Blanc massif, with vistas that change with the seasons.

The gastronomic heart of the hotel is its restaurant: in an intimate and characteristic setting, dominated by the warmth of wood, exposed stone and rustic plasterwork, you can enjoy authentic specialities from the Aosta Valley. The dishes, simple and genuine as Alpine tradition dictates, are prepared with fresh, top-quality ingredients, evoking ancient flavours and culinary traditions deeply rooted in the culture of the region. The crackling of the fireplace and the soft lighting contribute to creating a pleasant, intimate atmosphere, perfect for ending a day spent in the mountains.
