Between 2000 and 2002 important renovation and extension works were carried out which enabled the building of a large panoramic lounge with a view of the Cervino which makes the Teodulo refuge innovative and avant-garde.

Châtillon-Saint-Vincent motorway exit. Having reached the stop sign, turn right and, after a few hundred metres, just before the centre of Saint-Vincent, take the turn off on the right (signs for Cervinia) which, via the underpass, takes you onto strada statale (main road) 26 so that you can head towards Châtillon again.
Follow the strada statale (main road) for approximately one km until you reach the roundabout on the right of which you will find the regional road for Cervinia.
Carry on along it for 28 km going past the towns of Antey-Saint-André, Valtournenche and, after several bends, you will come across a tunnel on the other side of which the valley widens and where, after a short distance, you will find the characteristic Lago Blu (Blue Lake).
Carrying on further along you will reach a tunnel, as you go into the town, and then Breuil Cervinia. From Cervinia take the cableway up to the upper Plateau Rosa resort and from there it takes 0.20 hrs over the glacier. In the winter take the Bontadini chair lift which will take you close to the refuge.

The nearest train station is in Châtillon.
