One peculiarity of Chamois is the presence of a small mountain airport, the first in Italy, situated in the hamlet of Suis, built in 1967.
It consists in a grass strip slanting towards the valley bottom, with a windsock and a small wood service building.

It stretches over an area of 12.000 square metres. It is open to small propeller airplanes and to those who want to savour the emotion of a paragliding or hang-gliding flight and occasionally to the helicopters of the emergency service, in case of inaccessiblity of the sports ground situated in the center.
