The path begins just behind Maison Vieille hut and follows the sign of Tour du Mont-Blanc and Alta Via 2.
Climbing gently through flowering meadows, you can reach the lake, in whose blue green waters, the imposing peaks of Mont Blanc are reflected.
Lake Chécrouit is an exceptional viewpoint at 2,000 m over the whole Mont Blanc chain and Veny Valley.
