A hint of spring in the snowy Aosta Valley
Thanks to the region’s striking vertical relief, winter lingers on the high peaks even as spring blossoms on the valley floor.

- On 13th March, 27th March, and 10th April in Gressoney, in the Monte Rosa area, you can ski with skins even at night, combining an aperitif or dinner with your ski mountaineering trip.
- During the last weekend of March, Arvier, Valgrisenche, and La Thuile will serve as the stage for the Tour du Rutor, a spectacular ski‑mountaineering race held every two years in the unique setting of the Ruitor glacier.
Trekking and discovery
If you’re already feeling the arrival of spring and love trekking, the Cammino Balteo hiking trail invites you to explore some of its lower-altitude stages:
In Pontboset, you can walk across ancient bridges along the Ayasse torrent, while in the lower Lys Valley, you can discover the charming villages of Fontainemore, Perloz and Lillianes.
