Châtillon motorway exit. At the stop, head right and take the fork on the right (in the direction of Cervinia). Follow the S.S. 26 as far as the roundabout for Valtournenche. Carry on as far as Antey-Saint-André. Turn towards the Magdeleine and at a turning, head off to the right for Promiod.

Classic excursion, with snow than can often be powdery. Lovely view over the central valley and the Mont Rosa chain. The weather conditions on this peak are often good, even if the surrounding weather is bad.

Follow the trail of the carriage road north-eastwards as far as the Arsine mountain pastures at 1837 m. Turn right and head along the flat road through the spartan forest until you come to the Francou chalet at 2025 m. Carry on in the same direction until you come out of the forest. Following the long, wide dorsal, you will come to the final ridge and in no time at all, on foot, you will be at the top.
