The wines are expertly paired with genuine dishes of the local tradition, prepared with local ingredients, for a combination that celebrates the authenticity of the Aosta Valley.

Musicastelle: great music and nature to share

In June, singer-songwriter music meets nature with the first concerts of Musicastelle, the festival that brings major Italian artists to stunning outdoor locations in the Aosta Valley, reachable on foot.
Concerts are free but with limited capacity: priority access is granted if you book a stay in the Aosta Valley (using only the booking links provided on the official channels of the festival) for one of the concerts:

  • 6 June – Doues: Joan Thiele
  • 13 June – Gover lake, Gressoney‑Saint‑Jean: Sayf
  • 20 June – Vetan, Saint‑Pierre: Mario Biondi
  • 27 June – Etroubles: The Zen Circus

The festival continues in autumn: on 3 October in Saint‑Vincent and on 4 October in Antey‑Saint‑André. An experience to enjoy at a slow pace, where the emotion of music blends with the beauty of the landscape.

Along ancient waterways

From mid-June, you will already find several mountain huts open, but when snow still lingers at higher altitudes, the ru offer the perfect opportunity for leisurely walks. These ancient medieval irrigation channels guide your steps along easy routes with gentle ascents, ideal for early summer excursions.

Lights on the peaks: living tradition

In the Aosta Valley, there are early summer nights that smell of wood and freedom. They are the ones in which the bonfires lit on the peaks tell ancient stories, traditions that still live in the hearts of those who love the mountains.
On the night of June 29, the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, you can join groups of friends, families and volunteers and climb together towards the peaks to light bonfires. The flames dance high in the darkness, visible from the valley floor, as a sign of belonging and connection with the earth. Someone sleeps up there, under the stars, warmed by the fire and genuine conviviality.

The feast of Saint John, on June 24, is also celebrated according to tradition: in Cogne and Gressoney-Saint-Jean, the fires are lit in the villages, accompanied by toasts, chatter and typical snacks. It is a moment of spontaneous celebration that unites communities and travellers in the discovery of authentic emotions.
In Gressoney-Saint-Jean, the month ends in style with the patronal feast and the evocative procession in traditional costume while the Beer Festival adds a touch of joy and flavours to be enjoyed in company in the splendid setting of Monte Rosa.
