From the characteristic mediaeval village of Etroubles, an 18 km long cross-country trail sets out and climbs up the valley, passing through Saint-Oyen and touching upon a number of attractive little villages before reaching the 1521 metre altitude of Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses. The other trails comprise loops of varying difficulty that cross wooded areas and offer skiers some superb views en route. In Etroubles there is also a 2 kilometre-long floodlit trail. Skiing is guaranteed from December through to spring, also thanks to a modern artificial snow cover system of the kind found in leading ski resorts.

At Flassin, in Saint-Oyen, the “Foyer de fond” offers changing rooms, ski waxing services and ski hire.
