In the Matterhorn Valley, 15 km from the Châtillon motorway exit, set within a grassy basin of the Valtournenche facing south, at an altitude of over 1800 m, sheltered from the winds and therefore with a temperate climate, lies Chamois (1815 m), the only municipality in Italy that cannot be reached by car. The only connection with the valley is a cableway (capacity 400 p/h) that departs from the hamlet of Buisson, near Antey-St-André. The journey is short, and will allow you to reach in no time the ski area that runs from an altitude of 1800 to 2500 metres. This ski area is designed to suit all kinds of skiers and snowboarders and is always kept in impeccable condition, with the aid of efficient programmed snow cover systems when necessary.
Two magic carpets, ideal for beginner skiers and snowboarders, offer everyone the chance to get up the slopes easily and to concentrate on the descent only. Other classic, unmissable options include the ski mountaineering trails that head towards Becca di Nana and Becca Trecaré, trips out on snow-shoes and the walking routes that run alongside paths that are also very popular in summer.

14 km of slopes: 3 easy - 6 medium
1 cableway - 3 chairlifts - 2 magic carpets
