In Villeneuve, after the bridge over the river Dora Baltea near the intersection with the road from Aymavilles, go up the stone staircase, after which you take path No. 1A on the right until you reach the remains of the Château de Châtel- Argent dating from the thirteenth century.
At the foot of the castle is the ancient church of Santa Maria, one of the most interesting religious monuments in the whole Aosta Valley. As soon as you pass the ruin, continue on path n ° 1 that descends to the built-up area and ends in the central square.
