Description of the route
For mountain bike enthusiasts, the vast La Thuile Bike Park guarantees adrenaline and fun along more than 170 km of trails, served by the Bosco Express chairlift, departing from the village, and the Chalet Express chairlift at higher altitude.
The trails set in pristine alpine wilderness have hosted national and international competitions such as the Enduro World Series, Superenduro and the Internazionali d’Italia, and went on to welcome the Mountain Bike World Cup in 2025, again in 2026 and 2027. La Thuile is the only venue on the circuit to host all disciplines: Downhill, Enduro, Olympic Cross‑Country and Short Track. An unmissable event from 3 to 5 July 2026.
You don’t need to be a top rider to enjoy the MTB Natural Trail Area: the area stretches from 2,600 metres at Chaz Dura down to the village centre, with over 1,200 metres of vertical drop, offering routes for both beginners and experts, always with spectacular views of Mont Blanc.
In addition to gravity trails, there are cycle touring routes, also suitable for e‑bikes, and an international link with La Rosière (France), which can be completed entirely by bike or with the support of chairlifts on both sides to reduce elevation gain.
Beginners can rely on the MTB Training Area, located near the Bosco Express chairlift, run by the La Thuile Mountain Bike School, affiliated with the Italian Cycling Federation. The centre offers lessons and guided tours for adults, children and experienced riders, a dual slalom track and a balance bike course for younger children.
Don’t miss the pump track: a trail of banked turns and rollers to ride without pedalling, using body movement only. Ideal not only for MTB, but also for skateboards, rollerblades and kick scooters.
