A trekking route amidst dams and alpine lakes

Straddling the Swiss Valais and the Italian Valpelline, in a region full of splendid lakes, the Tour des Grands Barrages is a 9-day mountain trek that culminates at 3,087 meters and connects 4 large dams (Mauvoisin, Cleuson and Dixence in Switzerland and Place Moulin in Valpelline). Not difficult from a physical point of view, it includes only one or two steep sections and a glacier crossing at the Col Collon pass.
